Superior use of light and shadow.
The subject's form is well displayed in a state of what some may call exposed anticipation.
With eyes closed as the light dances off her form. To reveal the natural beauty that is woman.
What surrounds her is darkness... A total void. As sterile as a museum exibit. Forbiding any closer examination or physical contact of the subject
This display projects a feeling of yearning for the touch of another. A sad and empty state of being. Of wishing to be loved. If this was the intent of the photographer. He surely has attained his goal.

To me, this picture is exclusively centered on the lighting, and this was brilliantly done. Each curve is highlighted, outlined, enhanced. From the brightest tones to the darkest ones, all the range has been used. However, there is a majority of darks, which, together with the background and the stand, really enhance the impression of contrast that is meant to be conveyed by such a lighting.

The pose is very nice and allows each part of the body to be lit accordingly, with an exquisite level on details sometimes (the feet are perfect).

Altogether, a stunning photograph where the lighting has been used at its best. Bravo !
